Evan Walsh (b. 1995) is an NYC-based photographer and writer originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Evan's work explores mythologies of gender, masculinity, and chosen family. Evan's photography has been featured in Out, Lenscratch, Aint-Bad, and Entertainment Weekly, as well as on book covers internationally. Currently, he manages communications for For Freedoms, the artist-run civic engagement initiative co-founded by Hank Willis Thomas and Eric Gottesman. With For Freedoms, Evan has produced collaborations and curated works with Photoville, Lightwork / Contact Sheet, Lenscratch, Kickstarter, and has lectured at NYU, Parsons, and Aperture Foundation.
